My version of Beauty and the Beast, with Beauty as a moth and Beast as a bat.
so the past couple of nights we’ve had a huuuuge moth flying about the house which we called toby. i just came downstairs and found him on the floor, not looking too good, so i picked him up with a piece of paper and sat with him for a bit and, when i put my finger out to let his feeler touch me, he climbed onto my finger and his skinny, long moth tongue unraveled and he was liCKING MY FINGER AND IT WAS REALLY WEIRD AND CUTE LIKE I’VE NEVER BEEN LICKED BY A MOTH BEFORE??? ??? but yea then i took him out the front door (and by doing so exposed my layabout pyjama’d self to the early morning commuters of my area, but at least the cat isn’t out there to eat him) and watched the sunrise with him and put him on a flower bc i’m a fucking nerd at heart
update: i felt really bad bc yk i’d feel shit if someone left me to die on my own out in the cold (my conscience is never-ending for small fluffy insects) so i looked up what moths eat and went out and got him again and brought him in and gave him some water with some dissolved sugar (for the love of god don’t look if you’re scared of moths)(buT LOOK AT HIS LITTLE PINK MOTH TONGUE)
and at first he was like just sat there w/ his tongue in the water, but then his wings started vibrating and stuff and he kept drinking more and then
that’s hIM ON THE TOP CABINET OUR LITTLE BABY PULLED THROUGH AND IS FLYING AGAIN i saved toby’s life this is my proudest moment
